Friends, hello! Let’s jump right in to this month’s Unofficial Book Club update.
September held one series and one series alone, all done within the first 15 days of the month: A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) by Sarah J. Mass.
Five books, each a wild ride. A little bit of Beauty and the Beast, a little bit of Twilight, a little bit of Harry Potter. I’ll spare you the full details of the books because I’m really excited to share my favorite reading accessories with you but my favorites, in order, were…
- A Court of Mist and Fury (Book 2)
- A Court of Wings and Ruin (Book 3)
- A Court of Silver Flames (Book 5)
- A Court of Thorns and Roses (Book 1)
- A Court of Frost and Starlight (Book 4)

Now, to the part I’m really excited about. When it comes to being a reader, I’m pretty dedicated to the Kindle life. For a while there I was against e-readers because the turning of a page is *magical* but the reality is I love to read and having multiple books in one spot is a space saver.
Amazon has a couple of Kindles to choose from and I’ve had the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite for a couple of years now. It’s great for beach and pool weekends and I love it! I also recommend paying extra to remove the Kindle lockscreen ads. Trust me, you don’t want to keep the ads from Amazon.
But what about the accessories that make the Kindle experience even better?
Let me introduce you to my page turner and my stand, where I take reading to a whole other level.

When I had my surgery for endometriosis last year I knew the first several days were going to be spent in bed watching movies and reading. I also knew that I wanted to be as comfortable as possible and my page turner was step one in achieving that. By simply placing the clip on your Kindle, it connects wirelessly to the remote (which has a handy wrist strap) and BAM, page turner is activated. Be aware, this remote doesn’t turn back pages, it only goes forward! I take this device with me on all my of travels, to the gym, to my kitchen, etc. When I tell you that it’s increased my lifespan by keeping my reading hand-free, I’m not kidding. I LOVE this tool.

Next up is my stand. That’s right, I purchased a stand for my Kindle so that while I’m in bed (or on my treadmill or couch) I can place my Kindle right in front of me for peak comfort reading. You may not need this stand, but I can guarantee that your life will be better with it. This tablet floor stand has been great! It lives in various rooms around our house for when I need it most. I also need to give the biggest shout out in the world to my best friend for being the one who introduced me to this stand. She’s a rockstar.

Okay, you’ve seen my favorite reading accessories, what about yours? Let me know if there are any I should be aware of to make my reading experience even better. I will, I promise you, thank you forever for it.
Until next week,
